can you please tell me how this is made?
:iconohsmellycat:
Sure!

There's a photo-emulsion film (called ImagOn) which is normally used for photo-etching on a copper plate. Instead of the traditional process, I layered pieces of the film onto the surface of a copper plate, crinkling or ripping it, depending on the effect i wanted, and then hardened the film by exposing it to intense UV light. After this is hardened, it can be inked as an intaglio print.

So you shot this with imageOn and then... what? You didn't acid-bathe it?

And all is one.

:iconohsmellycat:
no acid needed for this. the image came from layering pieces of imageOn, not from exposing the film to a picture. i made all the textures by hand..more like sculpting, i guess.

Oh, nice! It's a collograph of Imageon. That's cool. I did something similar, but also used acid to etch some text into it. I dig it, though.
